Onto nails, I lobe this nail varnish - a charcoal grey with multi-coloured glitter, and it's currently only ONE POUND. How amazing?

These are my favourite shoes ever, I'll wear them all night and they are sooo comfortable - probably because I added an insole which makes a world of a difference, top tip right there.

At the moment, I'm just struggling to curb my ebay addiction, it's getting out of hand. I've bought about 5 things recently, all lovely, including a metallic glittery dress which I'll be wearing soon. And I've lots of stuff to update the shop with, some may or may not be glittery.... Stay tuned!

Happy belated New Year! Went to the O2 arena for NYE, saw Chase & Status, Zane Lowe and Kasabian with the boyfriend. Needless to say, it was amazing. My favourite part was when we counted down twice because they forgot to release the confetti and balloons the first time...

Didn't do a "gift" post despite my curious nature tending to enjoy them, but I did receive the ring and lipstick for Christmas. And Revlon Colorstay foundation, which I will highly recommend to anyone. This is also an "Xmas sales" post, went to Oxford Street (not Boxing Day or Christmas Eve, already made both those mistakes) but had to look at man shops all day. Sigh.

Now please someone help me prioritise, I have an exam on Friday the 13th and I've managed to watch 3 seasons of Scrubs in a week (I realised what I'd been missing out on).

Merry Boxing day Boxing day!* I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and that you've awoken from various food comas. My parents banned me from eating my 4th mini Christmas dinner today. It was sad. Anyway, instead of listing gifts (both the nail polish- which chips like crazy -and ring were gifts though) I'll list what we ate. So I can relive the deliciousness which is Christmas food.
Starter: Gravlax - cold cured salmon (which I cured myself!) with a creamy horseradish sauce and capersMain: Roast turkey, pigs in a blanket, stuffing, sage & onion sausage meat, almond & marzipan sausage meat, brussel sprouts, slightly charred parsnips, roast potatoes all smothered in gravy and served with bread sauce & cranberry jelly. MmmmDessert: White chocolate cheese cake, Christmas pudding
Yes Christmas lunch is quite the (delayed) occasion at my house. Looking forward to turkey soup & sandwiches. Anyway, I've got to go and drain my cinnamon & gingerbread syrup. Originally meant to be gingerbread, but got a bit excited with the cinnamon sticks... I'll leave you with my favourite Christmas tree decoration, this adorable owl.

How incredibly dodgy is this lighting? As much as I would like to fix it when taking photos, I've noticed the autofocus on my camera is rubbish on any setting which isn't "automatic". And I missed the warranty for my broken lens gahhh.

First coat of the season! Sorry for the awkward second photo. I guess I need to inject some amusement somewhere :) I've actually been living in these trousers, putting them away for summer earlier this year was awful. I've heard dreadful stories about them ripping but luckily h&m are cleverly remaking similar versions this season.
I'm ~~a bit~~ superkeen this year and already planned NYE - I've got tickets for me and the boyfriend to see Kasabian, Chase & Status with Zane Lowe at the O2 Arena. So today was the final day of the temporary "indian summer", barely scraping that at 21C. What's new? Had an all day English lecture and now by mind is riddled with pastoral idylls and other awful concepts. Off to clear my head of such nonsense with some TOWIE and Made in Chelsea. Ohhhh structured reality shows, you entertain me so with your awkward pauses, awful acting and magically disappearing drinks. Here's a photo of a nice passionflower from the garden. Stunning right?

Step 1: Get a cheap galaxy coloured tube top/skirt. I chose purple.

Step 2: Get some bleach. I used toilet bleach*.

Step 3: Soak skirt in water, and shake bleach randomly.

Step 4: Leave to dry.

Step 5: I dipped it in some left over pink dye to add more nice starry layers

Step 6: Wash 300billion** times to get rid of chlorine smell.

That was my gift to you in apology for not posting for like a month or something.

Models own lipstick's really smell like greasepaint. The price for pigment...

*And I'd reccommend doing a bleach test first, some materials go yucky

London's burning

Ventured down to visit Clapham Junction and help clear up this morning, and to be honest, we weren't prepared for this devastating sight. Broken glass, burnt out buildings, alarms still blaring. It was so.... weird. People were gathered at police lines, armed with brooms, bin bags and gloves. Starbucks and other shops were offering free coffee and water, and there was a strong sense of community ablaze. We wandered up Lavender Hill, staring at the carnage of the fire before police kicked us out. We left in a slight daze. One word for this: disgusting.

GALS-ON-TOUR

Had a weekend trip with ma gals Izzy and Meg to check out various northern unis. These were taken in Newcastle Univeristy's grounds, by Meg whom I gave a crash course in photography (new 35mm lens!) it was so lovely there. Went to Leeds and Durham too - Leeds shocked me with its cleanliness and heavy amount of hen/stag nights, but I don't think I could live in a "big" city in England thats not London, which is why I preferred Durham. Anyway, post title is obviously from Sweet Dreams by Eurthymics, but I'd reccommend the Marilyn Manson version. Luther always has the best ending-episode tracks.

Sooooo this is the massive haul for my eBay shop, featuring some pink denim shorts a lá Fashion Toast a lá Isabel Marant, the genius behind the beige short cowboy ankle boots. AND I recently remebered that I have been stacking a copious amount of Superdry vouchers (why do people keep giving me Superdry stuff? I ~~don't like~~ hate Superdry), and they have a similar kind of boots here, thoughts and opinions?

I'm off to a fun house party in Sussex (there's a pool!) so I'll see y'all later this half term. I'll be wearing my new highlighter pink lipstick!

Flower garlands and country lanes

These photos are from a lovely day spent in Hampshire at my grandparents house, reading, making daisy chains and eating barbecue, raspberries & meringue before we were rudely interupted by a thunderstorm and heavy rain - a rainbow compensated for the wetness.

I loved swanning around in this dress, a steal from a charity shop where Jazmine regulary volunteers. I bought it in the midst of winter where summer pining was highest, and have heavily planned its debut. The cut is so incredibly flattering for my shape, I think I'll have to copy the pattern: tied in waist, v-neck, flared skirt. Hopefully this is the start of many a maxi/midi dress related ventures.

+ Aren't the flowers lovely? The only ones out were blue and purple, but luckily they match my dress. Ohhhh the wonders of a 50mm lens

We dined on chicken fajitas (complete with guacamole, sour cream, cheese, salsa), nachos and finished with mango in a chilli and lime syrup (and the compulsory chocolate birthday cake naturally); we drank ginger beer, elderflower and lime beer and of course Sol, the Mexican cerveza; and at midnight I opened some Asos, New Look and Clinique goodies :) Couldn't have had a better time, gracias mis amigos!

There's been no posts due to the usual (but very genuine) excuses, was very ill, stressed with work and went to Wales with my family... which was beautiful, especially the mountain lakes. These sunglasses were glued to my face the entire trip - after receiving these sunnies in the post when I was ill, I had to take them back because they looked ridiculous on my small face and managed to glance these beauties, the last pair, and I grabbed them. A year's search complete.

Dayyy trip! Went to Oxford to check out the uni with my friend on Friday... Lol not going to happen ever. My reason of going was for the free lunch and obviously the opportunity to take some lovely photos. Sorry that they're all a bit lopsided actually, had to rush to keep up! The best part of the day was definitly the Christ Church college, it's the place where Harry Potter & co queue before getting sorted in the first film! I was so excited tears came to my eyes... ++Stole these lightning trousers/hareems/pjs off Isabel, they are the most unflatteringly comfortable things ever. So amazingly light. A shame you didn't get to see the back of the top, it's completely fringed which is gawjusss.

++ Isabel took these photos with the newly fixed Nikon! WOO. For £0.00, they replaced my tube... Whatever that means! We were joking about on the balcony, and I was doing pretend "model" poses, hair in front of face etc, and they're not too bad...??

Rolling in the deep

+ So, ombre... thoughts and opinions? I used Garnier Nutrisse 8.13 radiant blonde, clueless as to what dye to choose - so 2 for £8 on Garnier and got the greyest blonde there was to avoid ginger. HA. Well I prefer the term "gold" as one commenter said. I'm very happy with the results, but will probably do it again for a lighter result, apparently two hours wasn't enough. If you want to know how I did it, it's as simple as putting the dye in the bottom of your hair and more in the very ends.

++ If you were single this Valentines day, this story should cheer you up: my boyfriend cooked me a meal, hit the main course, turns out he thought that two cloves of garlic was two bulbs - and to top it off he didn't peel them. Bless :) Still had a very romantic day, thank you x

+++ Saw Black Swan today - was quite unimpressed with the film, but impressed with Natalie Portman. I think it's just by poor attention film that makes the cinema boring for me...

NB: Oh, it really didn't taste that bad - the garlic, being in such large chunks hadn't managed to break through. && Adele - Rolling in the Deep is a brilliant song.

Guess what, changed the header again. But this time it's a keeper, I didn't feel comfortable with the previous one because I didn't make it myself. And it was still emo.

+ Finally an outfit post! I've been experimenting with a 50mm prime lens which Lucy kindly lent me as I'm about to send off my usual lens to Nikon, in hope that they will restore it to its former glory. Although I love this 50mm, I think a 35mm would be best, I've had to do some serious backing away from people to take a shot (involving minor accidents), and I miss autofocus waaaaay too much. Still, I've learnt from this.

Soon comes the season of car booting! :) And, check out the eBay shop again - more items added tomorrow!

This was a trip to Brick Lane, the results of which are coming soon. My friend Phoebe really enjoys sabotaging my photos.

Something I did over Christmas, when mucking about with my camera, inspired by color me katie. (Tutorial here). And, speaking of cameras, I think I've broken my baby! My poor Nikon was involved in a fall from a bed, and now the focus is just not right. I'm seriously dreading the Nikon repair costs, because I reckon they'll reject the warranty.

Which leads me to my next topic, I'M GOING TO KOS! With all my gals, finally booked flights, but we don't have any accomodation yet, hopefully this hotel, anyone ever been to Kos?

Of course, with the New Year and holiday booking seasons comes the dreaded job hunt. I'm about to go hand out my CV to absoloutley everywhere, mainly in retail, so fingers crossed. AND something I found out, if you're under 18, you get paid around £1 less per hour at the same job and same hours as an over 18! I think this is outrageous, and I'm sure all of the under 16's agree. Aghhhhhh.

You'll agree I'm looking panicked. Probably because my hand has turned into a claw? Anyway, I hope that you celebrated the arrival of 2011 (better known as... 2k11) in a fanstastically whimsical way, whether you were simply chilling or partying. I did indeed crack out the leather trousers, but thinking about it, it would have made more sense to wear them before Christmas and not a squillion calories later. But I don't regret stuffing my face in any way at all. I had fun. A week later I was still feasting decadently, with cheesecake and yule log for breakfast. Hmmm. Can't see any logic whatsoever in that... And I part with a gift, the gift of music. If this doesn't work, have a link.

Happy Christmas Eve Eve! Finished the winter term with an excellent party, accompanied by this beautiful burgundy (or maroon) velvet dress. A dress for Christmas parties, then I'm cracking out the leather trousers for NYE. I'm veeery excited.... Anyway, this is a night saver - it hit me that I didn't like the purple skater dress I'd just bought a week before, a classic Georgia moment of delayed indecision. Thankfully, I always keep my recipts for occasions as such. And I saved two pounds :) Oh and Luce, thanks for the pic above.

Who's in agreement that the Barbour is the ultimate winter party coat? Yeah it looks trampy, but... FIVE POCKETS. That may not sound like a lot, but one goes all the way around. Waterproof and you can put in a fleecey lining. Oh, I'm not getting paid by Barbour to write this. They're just incredibly convenient.

I did say at the begininng of this season that I wouldn't buy into the aviator trend, but... A real sheepskin coat for under a fiver? How could I say no? One of the hardest parts of car booting is disguising your shock at prices. I felt like I was robbing the guy...

Just a simple autumnal outfit. Thought I'd scrape in this lovely fall theme before Winter rolls up and pinches us with its frosty fingers. (Alliteration, personification and imagery there. My text is so rich in literary delight).

Taken from an Aubin & Wills catalogue. I get it for these pretty pictures on expensive paper... I've had to reorder it twice because I've never bought anything ha.

That's my eldest brother there - 12 years of age. Wearing my hat, clothes and necklaces. He doesn't really look like me (he has gorgeous green eyes) except for the hair, which is a shorter version of mine... Anyway, I did my other brother too.

And that's my youngest brother, nine, but he's already a model. It makes me sick to think of all the money he'll have when he's older. Ha those are the shorts I wore here.

Ohhh and some excitin' new posts a-coming :) Halloween party last night... Perhaps a little too much chunder for liking, but still had an excellent time - will find a photo later. Happy trick-or-treating

Reading Mudfest - Part one

Eventually - Reading photos! I don't think you would believe the amount of mud - we're talking thigh high. So, weather aside, WAS AMAZING. Weezer was definitley the best, they played a cover of Teenage Dirtbag, one of my favourite songs ever. So these are day time photos, and on the fashion side of things, I did it! I didn't wear my Levi's allllll weekend! Perhaps this is the end of an era. Anyway, enjoy. (Index of photos below)

Thursday: Arrived late afternoon, to a previously pitched tent. Raining. No wellies.

Friday: Mud kicks in, along with music! Yay. First band I see, Two Door Cinema Club, I get crushed into a metal pole* and bruise my rib :( But in the evening, we go to Gun n Roses, which is an epic fail. (Except for Welcome to the Jungle obv). So I see Marina and the Diamonds instead, who is FAB. I love her.

Got this skirt from Funkrock - £14.99 for the perfect elasticated floral skirt. I practically lived in it this summer. And they have like a trillion colours. I really couldn't decide which colour, until I pictured it with the perfect khaki shirt. And that shirt is another story.

WHY DON'T I HAVE THIS BAG?? Then these photos would have been damnnn perrrfect.

You're probably gazing at these photos thinking WHO THE HELL IS SHE? Yeah, I'm back. Underage festival on Sunday - Courteeners, Darwin Deez, MIA, Lightspeed Champion, Tinie Tempah, Tinchy Stryder, Chiddy Bang, Ellie Goulding, Stornaway... And so much more. Special thanks to Meg, who got the tickets :)

It was my second time to the festival, and ended up being a very dusty experience.

And yes, I'm wearing a bumbag/ fannypack. It was my mums from the 80's, true vintage. This isn't my first time at a festival, and I've always hated carrying a bag when jumping around in crowds and being sucked into moshpits. This is the answer. When I'm not bouncing about, I wear as a shoulder bag. Hey, if Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana and Marc Jacobs can do them, so can I.

1. Looking back, I'll chop slash fray these shorts shorter. I think I'm accidentally channelling "lesbian clown".

2. Isn't it a weird moment when you realise you're wearing nothing over £3? Oh sorry, you wouldn't know, you're not a tramp :)

Serpentine Serpentine

This is from when I made a visit to Hyde Park to play on the new Boris-approved table tennis... A bit standard really. It was right by the Serpentine Gallery, in which there was an exhibition by Wolfgang Tilman, slightly disappointing: no photos were particulary special, and I didn't enjoy the pieces of coloured paper is plastic boxes (despite the contours probably representing different stages of his emotional journey bla bla bla). However, the cafe there, designed by Jean Nouvel was lovely, done up in red plastic with hammocks and even vegetables growing on the side.. Later there was a "sleepover", (in connection with the V&A) with workshops about dreams, insomnia and sleep - complete with cocktails, Victorian trifles with either powerful stimulants or calming remedies and artistic films. This all sounded very exciting, but you needed to pre-book tickets :(

Down by the rollercoaster

So when I approached my usual blank white wall, there was a rocking horse instead, who goes by the name of Gyspy. Oh the joys of having three brothers! Decided to have some fun with the photos, makes a change from the usual moody stare. And.. That's right.. I'M BACK. And browned. Malaga was a well earned break from London, it was nice to walk around nearly naked and not get weird looks (kidding). I actually bought the sunglasses there, only 4euro. Anyone going anywhere exciting soon?

And.. Nikon D5000. Thoughts?

So this was the first of many celebrations for end of exams, we indulged in strawberries, champagne and sugar. Since then it's been seriously hot, and I've mainly been wandering around in a state of near nakedness not suitable for the likes of here... Haven't we all? :)
I'm going to Spain soon with "ma girlz", which is why I'm rooting for Spain tomorrow - then the mood will be fantastic when I arrive on Tuesday, it's always nice to not be in a country in state of national depression.

Cupcakes, cats and jelly

1. Earl Grey tea cupcakes - I was largely disappointed with these, they were merely vanilla flavoured. I aim to perfect this, the multiple recipies I found were no good.

2. Meet Claude. He's not mine, but we engaged in a tense staring competion. Apparently his name is Claws, but c'mon, Claude is way more suitable. (But why does he have NO pupils??)

3. My work experience building in Canary Wharf: can you imagine how nervous I was entering this building? But it's all ok now, the people are so lovely, but my brain is muddled with equity swaps, hedge funds and long positions to name but a few.

4. And, although located in the middle of the city, this is where I'm eating lunch, in Jubilee Park. It's actually beautiful, and right next to the building. On the left is the M&S raspberry jelly I ate, yum.
Hope you're enjoying the heat wave, and A MESSAGE TO ALL TUBE-RIDERS. Do not, do not, use Johnson's holiday skin fake tan. You smell so bad. That's right, worse than the body odour. Sorry.Oh and the view from the 31st floor of London is amazing!

How beautifully wonderful is this necklace? I've never seen silver, gold and grey forced together so harmoniously... Hence it was perfect on bringing together the gold buttoned skirt and grey top. I received it from Sarah at Lushae nearly a month ago, but I knew I had to wait for the perfect summer's day to bring it out. I had to pick from all the designs there, and there were some fantastic rings (this one, appeared on that girl lucys blog), so it took me a long long time to choose, sorry! But definitely worth the wait, don't you think?

So these are my slightly cat-eye sunglasses. They're not the pointed ones I wanted, but I still love them, and for £1.. Well, enough said. I bought two. Because I break things. I don't normally wear my hair up, (I look like a boy) but it was verging on 30 degrees, so rules had to be broken. Hopefully I'll have tanned a bit..

Not going to lie: when I recieved this spotty blouse, I automatically reached for my Levi cut-offs. It took great self restraint to unbutton them and repace them with these shiny dance leggings (in the photos they are deceivingly matt) - I seriously overwear my Levi's. You just can't go wrong with them... ANYWAY, these are my first pair of wedges, from a charity shop. I need serious practice in them. Serious practice. I actually find them harder to walk in than normal heels... weird.

Ok, I lie, this isn't actually a scarf. Its a long rectangular piece of white lace, and I think it's originally a curtain, but hey, it was 70p! Can't go wrong with a 70p bit of synthetic curtain! I felt weird wearing it because it then meant I couldn't wear a necklace, and I felt NAKED. Still, good call on wearing the curtain as it was SO windy that day. I'll show the bag properly next time (£1). Anyway, I only have 7 exams left, out of my 16! Freedom is close..

And damn, I missed the fortnightly car boot sale. Party the night before + 8.30AM Sunday morning wake up + trains down = Bed till 12.

So I've begun with the beautiful day sky.

And I shall end with this beautiful setting sun.

This is an outfit from a long time ago, before these tights were laddered beyond use. This day was the start of summer, and I celebrated with a picnic with crab sandwiches, kettle chips and KitKats. Not forgetting the pineapple && coconut juice. I look back on that time with envy. I wasn't too keen on the photos, but they are of a happy time.

This was, as you might have guessed, just before the heat wave kicked in and London decided to simultaneously combust. Naked burning people everywhere. Me, I was lying on my balcony revising English Lit, drinking litre upon litre of water. Whilst I was reading upon on Seamus Heaney, water fights, barbeques and general frolicking in the sun was occurring elsewhere. Off to revise Spanish and Chem.

I love love love my Ebay sheer blouse. Why pay £20 at H&M when you can pay £2.50? Its ideal for summer layering.

And so, this is me at the car boot sale.. I was looking for an oversize pattern cardigan, these are the two I found (for your amusement), but waaay to oversize for my shortness: they say there's a limit. Got two new necklaces - I can't help it, I have an obsession - a tee which I've already chopped, bag and some standard knitwear. I'll be back there in two weeks.

Also, curse my feet. Stupid size.

And Biology papers. A paper cut per exam.

A casual Saturday outfit.. I know its probably my dullest outfit (I'm not leaving this to discussion, it could potentially have a hurtful impact), but I really loved the wall, kind of mossy and green. I walked past someone shooting a film by the very old mansion next to this, and was so tempted to just go and ask if they needed extras.. Has anyone ever done this?? Anyway, the leading lady was wearing an amazing 1950's floral dress, just to let you know..

AND I'M GETTING A CANON EOS 450D (or rebel Xsi) WITHIN THE MONTH!
As a belated present, does anyone have this camera and would recommend it? I'm pretty decided, but this is a final check...

Just occurred to me that I have never ever ever done a jewellery post. Which is strange, because I'm proud of my jewellery collection. And below, we have a selections of my short chain necklaces and pendant charms, mainly gold, with a selection of silver...

I have a tendency to break the chains they come with, so I have a lot of loose charms I pick and choose.

On a bad note, in my Spanish oral exam, I told the examiner that to help the environment, I always shut the door.

Cherry Blossom

As you can see, I've expanded my blog space, I felt so confined before, the photos were restricted to 400pixels etc.. So, the previous posts might look slightly jumbled until I sort stuff out..
But I feel this can be a start to a fresher, happier blog :)

Recently I ventured to a cherry blossom orchard for a picnic and some family-related fun.. Look at those overlooming clouds: we only had to scramble for umbrellas once, a process involving rapid food moving, hoods and a slightly squashed sandwich..

I'll be back, shockingly soon, armed with some white lace..
