I had two A Level exams today, hence the lack of posts. One went my way, the other, unfortunately, didn't. Le sigh. Had to cheer myself up with boyfriend + Macdonalds chocolate milkshake + cheeky Miss Selfridge sale purchases :) Aaaaaand I've been a lucky giveaway winner over at Essie's blog/youtube wooooo

Be casual: dipped hem dress

dipped hem dress ebay £7, vintage sleeveless denim jacket via lucy, primark plimsolls £2, topman cross necklace £3, isobel kho canvas bag

When I found this dipped hem/hi low/mullet/asymmetric dress on eBay, I actually paused and considered bidding. If this is you now, don't. JUST BUY. I love love love wearing this, it's something that is actually a pleasure to wear [hence the spinning and jumping]. I figured I could only wear it with heels and that a "casual" look would be unattainable - is it reality or vanity that causes bloggers add giant-ass heels to the most casual day outfits?
So anyway. Here's my advice. Grab a mixture of short and long layers, add a bit of denim and shove on whatever shoes you find comfiest.

Expect more on this dress.
And I found a cuter version at New Look - it has awesome triangle cut out detail at the back.
Gd'night

My excuse for buying this despite being broke is that I needed it for a costume party to be a witch. Ha.

Aimlessly wandering towards blue

missguided high waisted leggings via ebay £3, charity shop faux fur coat £10, charity shop blouse £2, asos jewelry, isobel kho canvas tote, topshop boots £7

A very quick outfit post, not the best photos but it rained all day and my boyfriend, bless him, is still learning how to use the 'big' camera. I'm wearing some missguided leggings I had on my xmas list then came across by chance on ebay, which I've actually had to break in. First time I've had to break in a pair of leggings...

Loving all things penguin related: I want this canvas penguin print bag from Isobel Kho, and this animal onesie (or kigurumi). Or someone start breeding me a micropenguin in preparation for my birthday. Preferably looking like this

Awww. Hope you're having a very merry lead up to Christmas

I heard a flash

charity shop skirt £5, charity shop top £3, new look shoes £25, carboot sale necklace 50p, vintage duffel bag
Photos taken in Durham, looking very ladylike. As you can see, my hair was seriously suffering from a lack of conditioner - nice dreadlocks. SUMMER HOLIDAYS OFFICIALLY STARTED. All my friends are out of town which sucks, but luckily I have 17 books and Harry Potter to look forward to. :) And True Blood. I made a Crab and Asparagus tart today. I was very panicky. That's all.
BYE x
You might have noticed me suffering from a bad case of sentence disjointedness. It's late

Sweet dreams are made of these

GALS-ON-TOUR
Had a weekend trip with ma gals Izzy and Meg to check out various northern unis. These were taken in Newcastle Univeristy's grounds, by Meg whom I gave a crash course in photography (new 35mm lens!) it was so lovely there. Went to Leeds and Durham too - Leeds shocked me with its cleanliness and heavy amount of hen/stag nights, but I don't think I could live in a "big" city in England thats not London, which is why I preferred Durham. Anyway, post title is obviously from Sweet Dreams by Eurthymics, but I'd reccommend the Marilyn Manson version. Luther always has the best ending-episode tracks.

Flower garlands and country lanes

vintage/old denim jacket, ebay sandals £3, charity shop floral midi dress £3.50, asos silver armour ring £6
These photos are from a lovely day spent in Hampshire at my grandparents house, reading, making daisy chains and eating barbecue, raspberries & meringue before we were rudely interupted by a thunderstorm and heavy rain - a rainbow compensated for the wetness.
I loved swanning around in this dress, a steal from a charity shop where Jazmine regulary volunteers. I bought it in the midst of winter where summer pining was highest, and have heavily planned its debut. The cut is so incredibly flattering for my shape, I think I'll have to copy the pattern: tied in waist, v-neck, flared skirt. Hopefully this is the start of many a maxi/midi dress related ventures.

+ Aren't the flowers lovely? The only ones out were blue and purple, but luckily they match my dress. Ohhhh the wonders of a 50mm lens

Blogger has been deleting everyone's posts as you've noticed, I'm reposting this one!

Photos from my party, Mexico themed. We dined on chicken fajitas (complete with guacamole, sour cream, cheese, salsa), nachos and finished with mango in a chilli and lime syrup (and the compulsory chocolate birthday cake naturally); we drank ginger beer, elderflower and lime beer and of course Sol, the Mexican cerveza; and at midnight I opened some Asos, New Look and Clinique goodies :) Couldn't have had a better time, gracias mis amigos!

¡Hastaa luego!

Rippled Lightning

izzy's urban outfitter trousers £15, primark shoes £2, mango sunglasses £3, carboot necklace 50p, ebay rucksack £14, asos top via charity shop £4, mum's vintage cardigan
+Readers, meet the nipple jumper, named by some friend's who couldn't understand why I'd skinned a cats underside and made a cardigan out of it. You've actually met it before, here, which I thought was weird - then I'd nearly reached 100 followers, and now I've nearly reached 200!
++Stole these lightning trousers/hareems/pjs off Isabel, they are the most unflatteringly comfortable things ever. So amazingly light. A shame you didn't get to see the back of the top, it's completely fringed which is gawjusss.

Wishing you a very merry Sunday & I shall be updating the eBay Shop shortly!
Bumped into Jazmine in "her" charity shop yesterday :) Nice to finally meet her after only glancing her from afar!
Follow It would be mine
Who else got their groupon ASOS voucher? Am very excited, can't decide what to choose!
