The Help by Kathyrn Stockett 20p

I couldn't believe my luck when the first stall I visited at Battersea car boot sale had a brand new Urban Decay Naked Palette sitting casually on the table. Some very stylish ladies were holding the table too, my sister picked up a Love dress, H&M shorts and a silky shirt from them too. The problem was that I then ran out of money, so cue running to Tesco's to get some more cash to spend :)
Needless to say I'm visiting again next week in hope of some more incredible bargains!

And a little thank you to Sascha at beautygeekuk.com, I won her giveaway for a Garnier Oil Free BB Cream, and she was kind enough to throw in a few extras :) Initially I disliked it, as it was so liquidy, but now I am in LOVE with it, others I've tried pale in comparison (no7, original Garnier, Maybelline, L'oreal). It's my go to skin base at the moment: not orange (for me!), high coverage, SPF, matte like finish. Currently on offer at Boots for £7.49, I might stock up!
I wore it yesterday with some powder and I was even told by a stranger I could be on a HD channel :D

A garden left for ruin

leopard maxi skirt charity shop £3.50, h&m tank £8, primark necklace £3, primark pleather jacket £23 £10, car boot sale bag £1, new look cats eye sunglasses £5

!Holaa senoritaz¡ I'm in the Mexican mood, watching 90210 and having just had a fiesta for my birthday on Thursday, the photos of which are coming soon. My birthday's my latest excuse for revision unfortunately, I'm finding it properly impossible. And I keep talking like I'm from Essex. It's ream.
Hasta Luego!

P.S. This is my first venture into maxi-length ever. I love it so much. Recommend it. Go.

Jump into the fog

£3 primark necklace, £2 topshop carboot sale jeans, £4 ebay coat, £10 vintage silk shirt, belt from lydia lee, £8 h&m wedges

+About mint nail varnish: so last year Chanel obviously, but I can't help but be drawn to pale pastel colours (Collection 2000, Mint Mojo). Removed it already, am sporting space galaxy nails - next post.

++ Isabel took these photos with the newly fixed Nikon! WOO. For £0.00, they replaced my tube... Whatever that means! We were joking about on the balcony, and I was doing pretend "model" poses, hair in front of face etc, and they're not too bad...??

+++ Recently came to my attention that I'm an indie tumblr girl! Someone took a photo off my blog from Reading and posted it... Its got over 200 notes && reblogs, so obviously am honoured but I'm quite offended they didn't tell me or credit anyone involved, Isabel took the photo. Pretty sure bigger blogs have this more often but... grr.

WHO LIKES MY YELLOW BELT? I do. Won (actually won something) from Lydia in a giveaway! Was waiting for the perfect moment to showcase it - many thanks!

Rolling in the deep

+ So, ombre... thoughts and opinions? I used Garnier Nutrisse 8.13 radiant blonde, clueless as to what dye to choose - so 2 for £8 on Garnier and got the greyest blonde there was to avoid ginger. HA. Well I prefer the term "gold" as one commenter said. I'm very happy with the results, but will probably do it again for a lighter result, apparently two hours wasn't enough. If you want to know how I did it, it's as simple as putting the dye in the bottom of your hair and more in the very ends.

++ If you were single this Valentines day, this story should cheer you up: my boyfriend cooked me a meal, hit the main course, turns out he thought that two cloves of garlic was two bulbs - and to top it off he didn't peel them. Bless :) Still had a very romantic day, thank you x

+++ Saw Black Swan today - was quite unimpressed with the film, but impressed with Natalie Portman. I think it's just by poor attention film that makes the cinema boring for me...

NB: Oh, it really didn't taste that bad - the garlic, being in such large chunks hadn't managed to break through. && Adele - Rolling in the Deep is a brilliant song.

I don't need a cloak to become invisible.

car boot sheepskin aviator coat £4.50, carboot jumper £1.50, car boot necklace 50p, topshop shorts £30, primark two tone tights £2, new look boots £20
I did say at the begininng of this season that I wouldn't buy into the aviator trend, but... A real sheepskin coat for under a fiver? How could I say no? One of the hardest parts of car booting is disguising your shock at prices. I felt like I was robbing the guy...

First pictures from the Nikon D5000. The blanket of snow (as opposed to the standard thin grey slush) arrived in time for the camera :) Hope you've had a festive week, I'm still waiting for the fresh smell of pine needles... Got your tree yet?

Made of Ivy and Gold

carboot sale navy blazer coat £3, topshop shorts £22, new look boots £20, vintage raph lauren belt, carboot sale necklace 50p, country fair white shirt 50p
Just a simple autumnal outfit. Thought I'd scrape in this lovely fall theme before Winter rolls up and pinches us with its frosty fingers. (Alliteration, personification and imagery there. My text is so rich in literary delight).
Taken from an Aubin & Wills catalogue. I get it for these pretty pictures on expensive paper... I've had to reorder it twice because I've never bought anything ha.
In other news bought my Nikon D5000 yesterday! Ahhhh I love it. Quality of pictures here will rise sky high. More from me later. Ta'rar.

NB: OMG Harry Potter. Have seen it twice. Amazing.

Crack a broken bone

carboot sale white lace scarf, car boot sale zara cardigan, topshop grey tunic, random plaited belt, h&m sunglasses, car boot sale bag
Ok, I lie, this isn't actually a scarf. Its a long rectangular piece of white lace, and I think it's originally a curtain, but hey, it was 70p! Can't go wrong with a 70p bit of synthetic curtain! I felt weird wearing it because it then meant I couldn't wear a necklace, and I felt NAKED. Still, good call on wearing the curtain as it was SO windy that day. I'll show the bag properly next time (£1). Anyway, I only have 7 exams left, out of my 16! Freedom is close..
x
And damn, I missed the fortnightly car boot sale. Party the night before + 8.30AM Sunday morning wake up + trains down = Bed till 12.
Look left, see the music? PLAY. And I didn't set it to autoplay because that seriously gets annoying sometimes. BUT LISTEN, it's a bloody amazing tune. "Blues Blood Blues" by "The Dead Weather"

A decade in the dark taking part in a dream

vintage red skirt, belt && bag, ebay sheer blouse, primark tights and top, new look boots, topshop socks, old necklace

I love love love my Ebay sheer blouse. Why pay £20 at H&M when you can pay £2.50? Its ideal for summer layering.

And so, this is me at the car boot sale.. I was looking for an oversize pattern cardigan, these are the two I found (for your amusement), but waaay to oversize for my shortness: they say there's a limit. Got two new necklaces - I can't help it, I have an obsession - a tee which I've already chopped, bag and some standard knitwear. I'll be back there in two weeks.

Also, curse my feet. Stupid size.
And Biology papers. A paper cut per exam.

Red and purple lipstick all over the page

Any ideas as to where I should apply for work experience in London? My first application was rejected. Ugh. Something about university people getting priority? Ugh ugh ugh. I'll cheer myself up by talking about my new (but very old) winter coat..

hype?

I actually wanted an vintage American Football jacket last year, when I saw one in Beyond Retro, but decided against it (as it was £30 and I wouldn't wear it much due to difficult colours), and I'm glad I didn't. I picked this one up from a car boot sale for only £4! It was in really bad quality though, the lining was moth eaten and stained. Easily fixed by a seamstress!

vintage jacket and bag, h&m top and hat, topshop shorts and primark boots
&&& YAY I have 20 followers now! Thank you so much! My blogs date back to miles ago, but as you can see I only got round to posting once per month. That time is over. I'm hopefully back for good.
