London's burning

Ventured down to visit Clapham Junction and help clear up this morning, and to be honest, we weren't prepared for this devastating sight. Broken glass, burnt out buildings, alarms still blaring. It was so.... weird. People were gathered at police lines, armed with brooms, bin bags and gloves. Starbucks and other shops were offering free coffee and water, and there was a strong sense of community ablaze. We wandered up Lavender Hill, staring at the carnage of the fire before police kicked us out. We left in a slight daze. One word for this: disgusting.
Keep your fingers crossed and keep safe x

But i love how the communities have come together to clear everything up, i wish i could help but i don't live in London!! Hopefully everybody will stay safe and this stupid riot will die down! x

  3. I don't know whether I should like these pictures of not. They are fantastic but what they document is vile (other than the clean up, so glad there are people like this around) and actually almost made me sob earlier!
Kudos for you for going to help out

  16. As i look at these photos i feel so heartbroken. In disasters like these it's also amazing how people naturally bond and help each other in times of trouble.i pray that these riots will end soon. It's just way too tragic even for someone who lives in the other side of the world.
