The Orange Paper Hat

cutout shoulder red dress vero moda @ asos £24 £16.50, topshop ring, fashionistA magnetic nail polish in frankie

Merry Boxing day Boxing day!* I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and that you've awoken from various food comas. My parents banned me from eating my 4th mini Christmas dinner today. It was sad. Anyway, instead of listing gifts (both the nail polish- which chips like crazy -and ring were gifts though) I'll list what we ate. So I can relive the deliciousness which is Christmas food.

Starter: Gravlax - cold cured salmon (which I cured myself!) with a creamy horseradish sauce and capers
Main: Roast turkey, pigs in a blanket, stuffing, sage & onion sausage meat, almond & marzipan sausage meat, brussel sprouts, slightly charred parsnips, roast potatoes all smothered in gravy and served with bread sauce & cranberry jelly. Mmmm
Dessert: White chocolate cheese cake, Christmas pudding

Yes Christmas lunch is quite the (delayed) occasion at my house. Looking forward to turkey soup & sandwiches. Anyway, I've got to go and drain my cinnamon & gingerbread syrup. Originally meant to be gingerbread, but got a bit excited with the cinnamon sticks...
I'll leave you with my favourite Christmas tree decoration, this adorable owl.

*For Americans, that's the British name for the day after Christmas when you give presents to your servants, post men etc. This year my servants (aka my three brothers) got their presents on the day. Lucky beggars

Aimlessly wandering towards blue

missguided high waisted leggings via ebay £3, charity shop faux fur coat £10, charity shop blouse £2, asos jewelry, isobel kho canvas tote, topshop boots £7

A very quick outfit post, not the best photos but it rained all day and my boyfriend, bless him, is still learning how to use the 'big' camera. I'm wearing some missguided leggings I had on my xmas list then came across by chance on ebay, which I've actually had to break in. First time I've had to break in a pair of leggings...

Loving all things penguin related: I want this canvas penguin print bag from Isobel Kho, and this animal onesie (or kigurumi). Or someone start breeding me a micropenguin in preparation for my birthday. Preferably looking like this

Awww. Hope you're having a very merry lead up to Christmas

Dress to the point

white lace dress dorothy perkins via charity shop £3, primark pleather jacket £10, asos necklace £2, ebay black bag £3
  • So I'm not a little black dress kind of girl... I like dresses like this
  • How incredibly dodgy is this lighting? As much as I would like to fix it when taking photos, I've noticed the autofocus on my camera is rubbish on any setting which isn't "automatic". And I missed the warranty for my broken lens gahhh.
  • Anyway, everything is good, just sitting and waiting for term to be over and for Christmas to hit me. Seriously. WHERE IS IT? C'est une bonne question.
Fact Rant:
  • I just booked my summer holiday (AYIA NAPA 2K12*).
  • Got offers from three unis :)
  • Bought a glittery blackberry case like this muhahahaha
  • Buy from my shop
See y'all

**Awkz that I intially posted this with the draft title "dress". Self explanatory and straight to the point, essentially blunt, which is what I'm famous for in the real world. Ohhh the irony

Devil takes care of his own

zara bucket bag, h&m kids metallic bucket bag, h&m kids black fur coat, topshop green heavy weight leggings, missuided.co.uk quilted boots, topshop lips in inhibition

revlon black cherry lipstick, peacocks motorcycle jacket, dorothy perkins black bag, zara ankle boots, vero moda @ asos cape chiffon dress
  •  Wondering whether I can fit into age 14years in H&M? I love that black furry coat, reminds me of the Topshop version which sold out pretty quickly
  • Currently craving dark red and purple lipstick. So Gucci AW10 but the secret goth in me opposes
  • I still don't have a pair of Isabel Marant/Acne lookalikes? And I'm still a blogger?

There's rust around the things l love

charity shop tweed coat £7.50, leather h&m trousers £15, ebay leather rucksack £10, topman necklace £1, topshop boots £7, rimmel lipstick in rose sorbet 110

First coat of the season! Sorry for the awkward second photo. I guess I need to inject some amusement somewhere :) I've actually been living in these trousers, putting them away for summer earlier this year was awful. I've heard dreadful stories about them ripping but luckily h&m are cleverly remaking similar versions this season.
I'm a bit superkeen this year and already planned NYE - I've got tickets for me and the boyfriend to see Kasabian, Chase & Status with Zane Lowe at the O2 Arena. Should be pretty good if you ask me. Post title is from "Embrace" by Chase & Status feat White Lies. Can't reccommend it enough - click here.
Currently very happy as Blackberry just sent me a brand new replacement phone. Really not a fan - it lasted just over a month. Seriously wish I could afford an iPhone.

Like my tweed coat? Then you'll like the winter stock in my shop!

I need sunshine

Yayyyy winter stock update! Click the text to see the ebay listing. Expect more lovely vintage knits as the temperature drops. Also selling TOPSHOP FAUX SUEDE SHORTS
Finally finished my UCAS so you'll be hearing from me a lot sooner these days :)

Leather in cold light

both: jaeger charity shop green blazer £5, charity shop leather skirt £6, gift necklace
day: floral urban outfitters top £10, new look moccassins £25
night: leopard sheer top charity shop £5, asos boots £37

Wore this skirt twice on the weekend because I'm a lazy girl and its nice. So its a day2nite thing! Anyway you're meant to take notice of my new shoes, which I bought in the flash Asos sale a few weeks ago down from £75 - they're back up again! I removed the ridiculous gingham laces and they are, for now, laceless.
I say goodbye to you sitting in an awkward position, a result of walking 100km with a 20kg rucksack. Should probably complete my UCAS or something, but I think I'll trawl through ebay instead. Seee ya
^Meaningful look. Go shop. Proper winter shop update coming soon!

Indian Summer

leopard h&m wedges £8, ebay shorts £1, asos top £6, charity shop bag £1, asos necklace £3, vintage sunglasses
So today was the final day of the temporary "indian summer", barely scraping that at 21C. What's new? Had an all day English lecture and now by mind is riddled with pastoral idylls and other awful concepts. Off to clear my head of such nonsense with some TOWIE and Made in Chelsea. Ohhhh structured reality shows, you entertain me so with your awkward pauses, awful acting and magically disappearing drinks. Here's a photo of a nice passionflower from the garden. Stunning right?
Some lovely Topshop suede shorts to be found...

Fuschia night sky

beyond retro crop jumper £12, topshop necklace a gift, models own lipstick in deep fuschia, DIY galaxy skirt charity shop £2

Step 1: Get a cheap galaxy coloured tube top/skirt. I chose purple.
Step 2: Get some bleach. I used toilet bleach*.
Step 3: Soak skirt in water, and shake bleach randomly.
Step 4: Leave to dry.
Step 5: I dipped it in some left over pink dye to add more nice starry layers
Step 6: Wash 300billion** times to get rid of chlorine smell.

That was my gift to you in apology for not posting for like a month or something.
Models own lipstick's really smell like greasepaint. The price for pigment...

*And I'd reccommend doing a bleach test first, some materials go yucky
** How many stars there are in the Milky Way!
